Bloomburrow brings a menagerie of woodland creatures to MTG on Aug. 2 — here’s where you can pre-order

The adorable new set will be available starting Aug. 2

While the Universes Beyond expansions for Magic: The Gathering have been getting a lot of attention, you won’t want to miss Bloomburrow, the next fully original set joining the popular TCG on Aug. 2. Replacing the typical cast of creatures, Bloomburrow exclusively features anthropomorphic versions of woodland birds, rodents, and amphibians.

If you’d like to add any of these new cards to your existing collection, the new expansion is available to pre-order in a variety of formats from Amazon and GameStop, which we’ve linked to below, along with a list of their contents.


Bloomburrow Starter Kit

For new players, the Bloomburrow Starter Kit is the simplest way to get into the new expansion for Magic: The Gathering. Packaged in each Starter Kit are a learn-to-play guide along with two pre-constructed 60-card decks, which both include a single mythic rare and four rares with foil treatment. Both decks also come packaged in their own dedicated storage box and are constructed exclusively with the new cards introduced with the new expansion. The $19.99 Starter Kit is currently available to pre-order from Amazon and GameStop.

Bloomburrow Bundle

As with previous MTG expansions, Bloomburrow will launch with a bundle full of boosters to introduce you to the cards present in the new expansion. Each bundle comes packaged with a total of nine Bloomburrow Play Booster packs in addition to 30 land cards (15 foil, 15 non-foil), a bundle-exclusive foil promo card, and a spindown life counter die. If you’d like to pre-order this new bundle, they’re available to reserve at Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy for around $50.

Bloomburrow Commander Decks

The Bloomburrow expansion will launch with four preconstructed Commander decks: Animated Army, Family Matters, Peace Offering, and Squirreled Away. Each 100-card deck features three foil cards in addition to a pair of cards found exclusively in Collector’s Booster Packs. You’ll also find 10 double-sided token cards, a life tracker, and a deck box to hold everything together. Every Commander deck is currently available to pre-order from Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy for $47.99 each, but a bundle containing all four is also available for $189.20.

Bloomburrow Play Booster Box

The classic Play Booster pack format returns for Bloomburrow, which allows players to assemble a deck from six packs, or use three packs for a Booster Draft. Each Play Booster pack contains 14 cards, which include at least one rare card and a chance for a foil card or land in each pack. Every Play Booster box includes 36 packs for a total of 504 cards. Play Booster boxes can be pre-ordered from Amazon and GameStop for $169.99 or from Best Buy for $174.99. Individual Play Boosters can also be pre-ordered from GameStop for $5.99 each.

Bloomburrow Collector Boosters

Collector Boosters are the fastest way to supplement your MTG collection with the rarest and prettiest cards being introduced in the Bloomburrow expansion. Each Collector Booster pack features five cards that are rare (or better), five alternate border cards, and up to two extended art cards in its 15-card spread. Collector Booster packs for Bloomburrow can be pre-ordered as a box of 12 for $279.99 from Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. But they can also be purchased piecemeal from Amazon or GameStop for $27.
