September 28, 2021, Wheaton, Ill. – Reservations for the vendor exhibit and team parking for the 2021 U.S. National Cyclocross Cycling Championships at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois are now available. As the only U.S. national cycling championship to have all categories represented in one place, the weeklong event is expected to welcome over 1,600 competitors and thousands of spectators at the event near from Chicago.
“Although our event planned for 2020 has been canceled for obvious reasons, the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau is delighted to host this event in 2021,” said local organizing committee chair Mark Zalewski. “Cantigny Park is an excellent partner for the CVB and is ready to welcome everyone with an exciting course and a friendly route for the fans. “
The event is an opportunity for brands and sellers to confront both many cyclists and the general public. With the event site just 25 miles from Chicago, this is the largest market in its history for US nationals of cyclocross. Coincidentally, the first four national championships were also held in the Chicago area from 1963 to 1966.
“The Cantigny park site has plenty of space for a supplier exhibition and ample parking for the teams, right next to the start and finish of the race,” said Zalewski. “As such, the potential for activation is high.”
Plus, there are still brand sponsorship opportunities for major courses – from flyovers to steps to sandbox.
