Lights of Enchantment is a Community First program guaranteed to be a visual extravaganza with over 350 displays and over a million points of light. It will be a fun time for the whole family. Don’t miss the lighting of our 60ft tall Christmas tree with a 10ft star on November 26th.
November 24, 2021 – January 2, 2022
Expo New Mexico is Home to Winter Wonderland is a vacation drive-thru experience, combining the spirit of the vacation and New Mexico culture in a safe, family-friendly winter attraction. The 2021 show includes a special walking section where guests can enjoy Winter Wonderland outside of their vehicle in addition to local vendors, sip hot chocolate, and even snap a photo with Santa himself. A portion of every ticket sold for this event will be donated to the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities-New Mexico.
November 27 – December 30
Enjoy the magic of millions of twinkling lights and nearly 600 dazzling vacation exhibits at New Mexico’s largest light show. A visit to River of Lights requires a reserved hourly ticket purchased online only. While the famous Polar Bear Express won’t be running this holiday season, Santa has a new train. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.

Enjoy one of Albuquerque’s favorite traditions of supporting local businesses along Nob Hill. Tree lighting, the shop and the promenade will begin on December 5th. M’Tuccis and Little Bear, and University Lodge and The Farmacy will be hosting events, details to come.

Start your vacation shopping in the historic Old Town during the unofficial start of the holiday season. Stop at Plaza Don Luis for the tree lighting at 6:00 PM Sip hot chocolate and enjoy the live shows in the Old Town and at the Belvedere. Local musicians and dance groups will bring holiday cheer to your walking experience. Get the holiday season in motion with entertainment, dining, shopping and more! Free parking is available on the lot at the corner of 18th Street and Bellamah Avenue. The land is a short walk from the historic old town. Limited shuttles will take spectators to the event to and from the Albuquerque Museum grounds, near Old Town Square, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy free admission to the Albuquerque Museum car it will be open until 9 p.m. Simple Truth Jazz Band will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests can also have fun this holiday season with an ornamental activity from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The walk through the old town is free to the public and is an event rain or shine. The streets of the old town will be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. Animals that are well behaved and kept on a leash are welcome.

The Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees is a seasonal celebration that spreads the holiday spirit for a good cause. The weekend engagement includes a gala cocktail, live musical performances by local artists, handmade decorations for sale, engaging Christmas activities for kids, an elf workshop and a tour of Santa Claus.

This free, family-friendly vacation event brings some sparkle to a mile-long stretch of Central Ave. The Nob Hill procession will roll west from Washington St. to Girard Blvd. from 5:15 pm The parade is made up of local businesses, organizations, school groups and families, all competing for the Best in Show. Bring the family to celebrate and enjoy this city tradition. The Twinkle Light Parade will travel west on Central Ave. across Nob Hill from Washington St. to Girard Blvd. Central Avenue will be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. to prepare for the parade. Free parking will be available at the parking lot located at the southwest corner of Lomas Boulevard. and Boulevard de l’Université.

Shop at a bazaar featuring Indigenous artists selling handcrafted clay ornaments, nursery sets, jewelry, art, and gifts at the Pueblo Shop & Stroll in the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center on Friday, December 6. At the end of the day, the whole family will enjoy a special Indigenous dance evening while sipping hot chocolate by the campfire or strolling among hundreds of light fixtures.
