Chief Minister leads Vijay Sankalp’s flag campaign in Dussehra


Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan led the BJP’s Vijay Sankalp flag campaign in Vijaya Dashmi constituencies on Friday in a bid to motivate party workers to work for the party’s victory in the polls and mobilize voters to extend their support.

Other party leaders who led the campaign in different locations in the constituencies included BJP National Secretary General Kailash Vijayvargiya and BJP State President VD Sharma.

BJP Election Management Committee Chairman and Cabinet Minister Bhupendra Singh said party flag-raising programs took place at 3,067 voting booths.

“There was tremendous enthusiasm among the party workers and others,” Singh said. He told the media that the party’s programs will be held from October 16 to 21.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan led the campaign in Singhawal in the state assembly constituency of Raigaon, state BJP chairman Vishnu Dutt Sharma in Mohangarh in the assembly constituency of the Prithvipur state and national party secretary general Kailash Vijayvargiya led the campaign in Barwah in Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency, according to the minister.

He said party members and citizens greeted guests with rangoli decorations while girls and women greeted guests with a “kalash” placed over their heads.

He said that by hoisting the victory flag in the 3,067 stands of the State Assembly constituencies of Khandwa Lok Sabha and Jobat, Raigaon and Prithvipur, the party workers took the victory oath and demanded the blessing of the people for the victory.

Kailash Vijayvargiya also took part in a cycling rally. Former MP Krishnamurari Moghe launched a door-to-door campaign in various districts of Khandwa. Likewise, in Sanawad Nagar, Minister Jagdish Devda, in Bhikangaon State, Vice-President Jitu Jirati and MP Manoj Chaudhary hoisted the party flags. Party leader Madho Singh Dabur hoisted the flag to Jhiran and Bhabra of the Jobat Assembly constituency.

In accordance with the BJP plan, the founding day of Valmiki Jayanti and Jan Sangh will be celebrated in each voting booth on October 20 and 21 respectively. Likewise, self-help group conferences would be organized in all constituencies. Conferences of party workers will be organized in the 558 villages as well as in urban areas.
