Electrify Your Life EXPO Set for Saturday

The future is coming to Greenwich with the Electrify your life EXPO on Saturday June 18 at Cos Cob station.

The City of Greenwich Conservation Commission promotes electric vehicles, electric bicycles and electronic landscaping for the transition to an all-electric lifestyle.

Electric cars will be seen and tested. An experience for the whole family, the EXPO has something for everyone.

Audi, Hyundai, Nissan, Kia and Tesla will be represented. The EV Club of Connecticut will be there to talk about how EVs now have much longer ranges – the new Tesla Model S has a range of over 400 miles – and how buying an EV is the best way to immediately reduce your carbon footprint.

Greenwich leads the state with 1,371 electric vehicles registered in the last six months of 2021 and that trend continues this year. Not only are the cars federally subsidized with a $7,500 tax credit, they require virtually no maintenance. Even better, electric vehicles completely eliminate today’s average cost of $5 for a gallon of gasoline.

Electric bikes are increasingly dominating the two-wheeler market and visitors will be able to feel the difference in this emerging technology that offers a whole new experience for commuting and shopping. Owning an electric bike means voting for a complete road infrastructure.

Hear the difference in electric landscaping equipment, which is gaining market share with quiet, emission-free operation. And for those who want to mow their lawn while they sleep, a robot mower will criss-cross the Expo.

Because playing with cars isn’t just for those with a license, a remote car obstacle course will be on hand for the kid in all of us – not to mention hoverboards, Segways and more. Moreover.

Experts will answer questions about electrifying your life and saving the planet. Educational stations will provide a deeper dive into local electrified solutions and provide opportunities for further engagement.

Live music and food trucks will create a FREE experience for the whole family.
