Hybrid reunion in Humboldt – Humboldt state now

Humboldt State Homecoming will be a mix of virtual and in-person events this year, primarily aimed at students, October 4-8.


The celebration begins with the inauguration of the new Student Activities Center, HSU‘s reinvented the student union with new restaurants, video games and a movie theater. Homecoming Week will feature live music, Virtual Drag Queen Bingo and more. Events are also open to staff and faculty.

Don’t forget to show off your lumberjack pride all week long on Instagram (details here). And help ensure that students can continue their path to graduation, even during the pandemic, by giving to the Student Adversity Fund.

[Please note events are subject to change. Check the Homecoming website for details and don’t forget to wear a mask whenever indoors, regardless of vaccination status, and outdoors if you cannot maintain a six-foot distance from others.]

Monday October 4
Reunion Pep Rally
a barbecue lunch, lumberjack march, games and gifts, a photo booth and more

Food Trucks on the Quad
Taste the food of Razmataz and Los Giles

Grand opening of the student activity center!
Student shows, DJ, Laser Light show, free catering.
Performances include: Object Heavy; Cypher General Nac One; Eli Fowler; and more the special guest B1G $ UAV at 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday, October 5
Alternative transport fair
The Sustainability Office is hosting a fair to promote alternative transportation options and resources to the campus community. The event will feature Humboldt Bike-Share, ZipCar carsharing, preferred carpooling, electric bus tours, bike repair demonstrations, and more. Demos, displays, giveaways and registrations.

Group bike ride organized for all abilities
A group bike ride for all levels along the Arcata cycle path to the marshes and back. No bike? No problem! Introduce yourself to get a FREE ride a self-service bicycle. Do you have your own bike? Show up at 3:30 p.m. to get a FREE tune up the bike before the ride. Organized by the Office of Sustainability and the Bicycle Learning Center.

Career Pathways Lecture Series: Education Panel
Hosted by YES (Youth Educational Services), Academic and Career Advising Center and the Center for Community Based Learning.
