BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (AP) – Mackenzie Holmes and Aleksa Gulbe each scored 22 points to help the No.4 Indiana beat Norfolk State 72-42 on Tuesday night.
Holmes, who was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday, scored 18 of his points in the first half. The Hoosiers (3-0) led just 22-21 in the second quarter before scoring the final 17 halftime points to enter the 18-split.
Indiana, which moved up to 4th in Monday’s poll for the school’s best ranking to date, committed 22 turnovers but allowed just 23 points.
Norfolk State (2-2) was led by Deja Frances, who scored 12 points for the Spartans. Norfolk State shot only 25% from the field.

Indiana: The Hoosiers continued their victory over the Kentucky No.19 with a slow start, but picked up the pace late in the second quarter and into the second half.
