J-Rod climbs into top five for Hero MotoSports

Joaquim Rodrigues managed to get back into the race after a strong performance in the last two stages. J-Rod was pushing through the stage and towards the end he caught up with the other riders. But in the end, he had to slow down his pace to make sure he finished the stage safely. J-Rod finished the stage in P5, just six minutes behind the race leader.

After completing Stage 4, J-Rod said: “Today was a good day for me. I tried to attack from the start to save time on the other competitors. I managed to find a good rhythm. Towards the end I caught up with the other riders and it was a bit dangerous to ride in their dust so I slowed down my pace to make sure I finished safely.

After finishing second in stage 3, Sebastian Buhler was the second rider to take the start of stage 4. And that meant that Buhler was struggling to navigate the dunes of the Sahara desert, in which he took off. almost lost several times. He finished the stage in P15.

Franco Caimi had a mixed day as his fast pace in the stage was not much after his navigation error cost him time. But despite this, Caimi finished the stage in P11 showing the potential of the Hero 450 motorcycle. In addition, he was also testing parts for the Dakar 2022 and was generally satisfied with the bike.
