Ara: Come April 23 and the nation will see a world record being made at Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district as 75,000 people wave the national flag simultaneously in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to mark the ‘ Vijayotsav’ of Veer Kunwar Singh, who led the 1857 Indian rebellion in Bihar and defeated British troops under Captain Le Grand on 23 April 1858 near Jagdishpur. will also attend the VE Day program and deliver a speech on occasion.
BJP State Chairman Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal on Friday posted six “Veer Kunwar Singh raths” from Veer Kunwar Singh fort in Jagdishpur to Arwal, Aurangabad, Siwan, Saran and Buxar districts, urging people to attend the “Vijayotsav” in large numbers.
BJP workers were asked to visit every house in Bhojpur district and distribute invitation cards to send at least one family member to attend the ceremony.
On April 17, all panchayat representatives will receive invitation cards. From April 20 to 22, BJP leaders in the state will visit all blocks in Bhojpur district, urging people to attend the event.
BJP Bhojpur district spokesperson Surendra Sagar said: “Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai visited Jagdishpur on April 12 and asked officials and workers from the party district to spare no effort to make “Vijayotsav” a great success. More than three lakh people will attend the program. A bike rally and ‘padyatra’ will also be organized to entice people to attend the event.
