A hit-and-run accident on Sunday night left a female victim in critical condition at an area hospital, now the search is underway for the suspected driver and passengers.

CAR HITS WOMAN IN CLEAR WATER AROUND 9:30 PM

Police received a call around 9:35 p.m. about a 28-year-old woman who had been hit by a car crossing the street in the 5000 block of West Clearwater.

Bystanders and witnesses said she appeared seriously injured. The suspect vehicle came to a stop on the sidewalk after hitting the woman, but the driver and an unknown number of occupants fled on foot.

Kennewick fire units and police worked to stabilize the woman, she was rushed to an area hospital as she was in critical condition on Sunday evening.

Police did not say whether the woman was on a crosswalk or in the middle of the road.

POLICE STILL SEARCH FOR SUSPICIOUS DRIVER AND PASSENGERS

A K-9 track was able to locate property believed to belong to the suspects as a large area was searched, but they were not found.
