Kentucky Recovery Program hosting a free concert in the park this weekend

The Friends of Sinners Recovery Program will be hosting their annual Unchained Concert at Chautauqua Park this Saturday and it’s completely FREE to the public!

WHAT IS THE FRIENDS OF SINNERS?

friends of sinners is a Christ-centered residential substance recovery program focused on restoring and reconciling men to Christ through biblical truths, accountability, and life skills.

BIG CHANGES TO UNCHAINED

It’s the 13th anniversary of Unchained in the Park. Unchained is a free awareness concert and an event open to everyone. They originally started at Moreland Park and moved the event to Chautauqua Park in 2017.

The event has seen a huge change this year. Instead of the music being curated by the Friends of Sinners staff, they’ve outsourced it to professionals. The music has always been amazing, they just wanted it to be handled by these people who do this type of planning on a daily basis.

OTHER EVENT ACTIVITIES

There’s a bit of something for everyone at Unchained. If you’re bringing kids, they’ll have bouncy houses, concessions, a silent auction, customer testimonials, and a bike (motorbike) ride.

Registration for Bike Ride is at 8:00 a.m. and Ride starts at 9:00 a.m. $10 per rider. Unchained even starts at 11 a.m. at Chautauqua Park. They will also pre-sell ribs and Boston butts. Meat prices are as follows; $25 for ribs and $30 for Boston butts. Pick up at Unchained.

ANOTHER WAY TO SUPPORT FOS IF YOU CAN’T GET TO UNCHAINED

If your weekend is already busy, here’s another great way to support FOS. They are hosting a Yard Party at WBKR on Friday August 19th.

EVERYONE IS INVITED!
