Mahindra XUV800

The Mahindra XUV800 is probably the electric derivative of the brand’s flagship SUV, the XUV700. The electric SUV will likely be similar to the ICE variant, but with few design changes to go along with its EV status. It is expected to use the same basic layout, silhouette and three-row seating configuration. Speaking of its mechanics, the battery could have a capacity of over 80 kWh, and it will come with one or two permanent magnet brushless motors for a 2WD (2WD) or 4WD (4WD) configuration and power outputs ranging from 150 hp to 310 hp.

Mahindra XUV900

Remember the Mahindra XUV500 Aero Coupe concept we saw at Auto Expo 2016? Well now Mahindra is preparing to give the same body style treatment to the XUV700 by giving it a Coupe SUV design and offering it in an electric avatar first. The Mahindra XUV900 should be that electric SUV. The SUV will look quite similar to the current XUV700 up to the B pillar, beyond which it will boast a tapered roof design and a redesigned rear end. Obviously, it will have a five-seat configuration.

Mahindra Midsize Coupe e-SUV

According to the latest teaser, Mahindra is also likely to unveil a new mid-size coupe SUV which is expected to be less than 4.4 meters in length. This SUV is expected to be the Tata Curvv rival which is expected to go on sale in 2024 and we expect Mahindra to also introduce its production version around the same time.

Midsize Mahindra e-SUV

Now, it will essentially be a conventional body-styled version of Mahindra’s midsize coupe SUV and will be quite similar to the Jeep Compass in terms of dimensions. The electric SUV will likely have the same mechanics as the midsize coupe SUV, but will likely offer a roomier cabin and luggage compartment.

Mahindra XUV400

First shown as the Mahindra eXUV300 concept at Auto Expo 2020, the Mahindra XUV400 will essentially be the electric version of the Mahindra XUV300. Mahindra has confirmed that it will launch the new XUV400 electric SUV in India in September this year and it has already been tested on our roads. The XUV400 shares the same platform as the XUV300, but is expected to be just over 4m long compared to the latter’s sub-4m length. As for its powertrain, it is likely to produce 130hp from a single electric motor paired with a 40kWh battery and a range of up to 300km.
