Martin David Brennan, 70, of Knox, Ind., Passed away on Friday October 29, 2021 in Northwest Health-La Porte, Ind.
He was born January 9, 1951 in Chicago, son of Gerald and Dorothy (Hoynes) Brennan.
Martin was a lifelong resident of Canaryville. He was a rider and loved to ride a motorcycle. He attended many cycling events all over Illinois and had made the trip to Sturgis for the “World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rally.” Once unable to ride a bike, he took 4-wheelers and golf carts. But everyone will agree that Martin’s passion was his family, truly enjoying his time with them. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Christine (Kelly) O’Neill and Sandy (Brian) Gagen; two brothers, Kenneth (MaryAnne) Brennan and Joseph Brennan; three sisters, Judith Biesek, Dorothy (Joe) Boyd and Bernadine (John-deceased) Ryan; five grandchildren, Ashley O’Neill (Zak), Michael Gagen (Heather), Kelly O’Neill, Jr., Rianna Gagen (Bailey) and Amber Freeman (Tony); and three great-grandchildren, Angel, Abel and Amias (Smiley).
Martin was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Geraldine (Jimmy) Jennings; grandson, Adrian Gagen; as well as best friends, Stella Hoynes and Mike Cooney.
The family chose cremation with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, La Porte, will take care of the arrangements.
