CABDA’s 2022 edition of the Midwest Expo will not take place next month due to cautiousness over Covid, it has been announced.
The event was scheduled to take place Feb. 9-10 at the Schaumburg Convention Center – Chicago Metro Area, but organizers said they were working with exhibitors and the venue to find alternate dates.
“As a precaution, our Midwest Expo 2022 will NOT be held on February 9-10,” a statement said on the CABDA Expo website. “We are working with our exhibitors and with our site to find alternative dates. “
The statement continued, “More information will be forthcoming. Thank you very much for your support ! Thank you very much for coming and supporting CABDA over this past year! “
CABDA Midwest is CABDA’s longest-running event and has seen tremendous growth over the years. Traditionally held in February, the 2021 edition took place in September due to Covid-19, but was planning to revert to its traditional winter dates for 2022 and beyond.
The dates for next year’s exhibitions are on the website, with the 2023 CABDA Midwest taking place February 8-9 at the Chicago Metro. CABDA West 2023 will be held January 10-11 in the Los Angeles subway, and CABDA East 2023 will be held March 8-9 in the New York City subway.

Last year’s CABDA shows were run as hybrid events, with show activities taking place both in person and virtually on the new CABDA Connect online platform. Each of the three shows featured two days of physical exhibits, seminars, conferences and meetings, followed a few days later by a day of virtual activities.
CABDA West 2021 also took place at a new location, the Ontario Convention Center, outside of Los Angeles.
