The O+ festival makes its 12th return to Kingston, its birthplace, this month, with a performance by local improv rock band Ultraam with special guest Mr Geddes Gengras and live screenings of BA Miele at the Old Dutch Church in Kingston on May 14 at 8 p.m.

Founded in 2010, the O+ Festival offers participating artists and musicians free and discounted health and wellness services through volunteer-staffed pop-up clinics in exchange for their contributions to the festival’s programming.

On May 28 at Keegan Ales in Kingston, the O+ organization will celebrate the Kingston Women’s Bike Festival 2022 with the BlO+ck Party, which will feature a bike exhibit, workshops, wall ride, speakers on advocacy for cycling and security, a gravel ride, music, refreshments, etc. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the same location, from 1 to 4 p.m., there will be a live dance party with music from American band Rootbrew and funk band What?.

Tickets for the May 14 Ultraam and Mr. Geddes Gengras concert at Old Dutch Church are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For tickets and more information, visit the Festival O+ website.
