Police appeal after Vauxhall car crashed into child on bicycle



POLICE appealed after a car hit a child riding a bicycle.

Officers call for witnesses following the collision involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a child on Fabian Road, Eston, around 7:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 7.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen the black Vauxhall Astra driving along Fabian Road at the time of the incident and would also call anyone with CCTV footage or dash cams on Fabian Road between Church Lane and Birchington Avenue.

The child, who was riding a bicycle, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was later released.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact the Cleveland and Durham Specialized Operations Unit on non-emergency number 101, citing incident number 132061.
