One of our favorite organizations in Everett, Washington is Sharing Wheels Community Bike Store. It is a non-profit organization that is a real community bicycle store. They sell used bikes, renovate bikes and donate them to charity, educating people about the positive impact bikes can have on their lives and the community.
Last month, Sharing Wheels donated 118 refurbished bikes to nonprofit community partners who distributed them to those in need in Everett and Snohomish counties. Sharing Wheels is looking for donations to help move to a larger, more visible space and they are also looking for board members to help guide the future of the organization. Here is a note received today from Board Chair Kristin Kinnamon.
After 15 years in our current premises, wouldn’t it be nice to have windows, heat, a door that opens directly onto a welcoming boutique? Sharing Wheels has the opportunity to move into a better retail space in the Broadway Mall Building in 2022.
Before our nonprofit board commits to doubling our rent, we need to know that we have your support. Despite generous donations from many of you, we have yet to meet our fundraising goals for 2021.
If you were a bike volunteer, customer or donor last year, thank you. Now we need your financial donation to end (or start) the year.
Donate now will make a difference for Sharing Wheels, so we can continue to make a difference in our community.
Thanks in advance for helping us keep people and bikes moving.
Truly,
Kristin Kinnamon, Chair of the Board of Directors Sharing Wheels volunteer since 2002So if you can help with a donation, as a new board member, or by volunteering your time and knowledge, please consider ending 2021 by helping the Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop.
