The Philly Bike Expo 2021 will take place November 6-7

PHILADELPHIA, PA September 30, 2021: The Philly Bike Expo is open for 2021! The annual weekend event featuring exhibitors, seminars and rides returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center on November 6-7.

In its 12-year history, the event has survived an abnormal snowstorm in October, Hurricane Sandy, public transport strikes and now a global pandemic that canceled the show from 2020. But like its namesake city, the Philly Bike Expo emerges from every existential challenge in a better position.

Bicycle manufacturers, dealers and the general public crave face-to-face social interaction, and this year’s PBE fills that void – in a safe way. The show’s website details their Covid safety protocol which includes mandatory masks, designated areas for food consumption, wider aisles to facilitate social distancing, and increased air circulation and filtration at the Pennsylvania Convention. Center.

Each year, the number and diversity of the show’s seminars increases, and the PBE 2021 has a total of 18 seminars, among which:

â–ª “How not to annoy the media” by Tyler Benedict of Bikerumor
â–ª “Women in the bicycle industry” by Heather Mason and Rachelle Schouten
â–ª “Diversity and equity in the sport of triathlon” with a panel of presenters
â–ª “Post gravel, back to the roots (and rocks)” by Instagram celebrity Ultraromance
Industry Time from 9-10 a.m. each morning also returns, giving exhibitors the opportunity to interact with dealers, cycling media and their industry colleagues.

In a grueling 18 months for the bike industry that included new pandemic safety regulations, product delays, staff shortages and almost insatiable demand, the Philly Bike Expo 2021 will be a comeback to one. a certain sense of normalcy, with an added bonus, according to Bilenky.

“I hope that with so many more shows canceled for 2021, the Philly Bike Expo will give manufacturers and dealers the chance to spend more time interacting with consumers and getting a feel for what they want. This is the basis on which the whole bicycle industry stands, ”Bilenky said.
