Four days, thousands of mountain bikers, huge exhibition area, big spectacular air shows, downhill races, scenic trails, live concerts, lots of after parties, countless side events, lots of smiles and more fun than you can shake a stick at – the The GlemmRide Bike Festival 2022 presented by Continental in Saalbach Hinterglemm was truly a historic event. Whether it’s group rides with Fabio Wibmer, Jasper Jauch, the Ruso brothers or Stevie Schneider, downhill and pumptrack races, arm wrestling and bike pulling contests or just fun on the trails of Austria’s largest cycling region, the thousands of visitors and riders of the GlemmRide Bike Festival were truly spoiled for choice in the best possible way.

Huge exhibition area, ride with the pros and countless side events

The centerpiece of the 6th edition of the GlemmRide Bike Festival was once again the huge exhibition area where some of cycling’s biggest brands displayed their products and offered riders the opportunity to test their latest technologies and bikes directly on the extensive trail network of Saalbach Hinterglemm. . To add to the fun and timeless atmosphere of Hinterglemm town center there were meet and greets, signing sessions and group rides with professional runners as well as a host of side events like competitions arm wrestling or bike pulling which saw the competitors cheered on by a massive crowd.

Air shows and live music

The fun didn’t stop when the lifts closed either, as the Masters of Dirt Big Air Show delivered an absolutely insane level of trickery, including a Twister-No-Hand-Barspin by David Godziek, Twister-Tail -Whip from Nicoli Rogatkin, a Frontflip-Double-Superman-Grab from Vincent ‘La Machine’ Massardier and a Double-Backflip from 14-year-old Freeride prodigy Lennox Zimmermann. After the spectacular air shows, the excited crowd went wild in front of the main stage during the performances of the Austrian punk group Turbobier and the rap collective Texta before turning night into day during the many after parties with Mountain Reggae Radio in particular. , Wax Wreckaz and DJ Mosaken.

Downhill and pumptrack racing action

Those who needed a break from having fun on the local trails lined up Saalbach Hinterglemm’s famous Pro Line band to follow the tight and competitive races of the Specialized Rockshox Rookies Cup presented by iXS as well as the pumptrack at the foot of the Reiterkogelbahn.
