What to do on Sunday January 23


BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Let’s take a look at what to do in our area on Sunday, January 23.

Catamount Outdoor Family Center is hosting a Fat Bike Rally Sunday January 23. Fat Bikes are specially designed to be able to ride in the snow. The center has tracks specially equipped for this event. The family event will begin at 10 a.m. Participants can bring their bikes or rent them at the centre. The supply of bicycles is limited. Families can attend for free, but donations are encouraged. Guests can expect a variety of races and other fun outdoor activities.

If food is more your forte, this event might be for you!

A A beginner’s guide to cheese is a cheese course that takes place on Sunday, January 23. Cheese 101 begins at 1 p.m. at the Dedalus Wine Shop, Market and Wine Bar. Participants become cheese connoisseurs. Students learn to make, describe and taste cheese. Students will also learn to pair wine with cheese. You must show proof of vaccination to attend.

Point at Roche State Park hosts a guided hike and bonfire.

Families can join the park naturalists from 3-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 23. You can explore the trails and learn about the animals and flora that inhabit them. After the two-mile trip, you can sit by a fire and make s’mores. This event is ideal for the whole family.
