Ravensburger’s new starter kit has everything you need to learn and enjoy
The biggest challenge for any trading cards game, especially as it matures and the sheer volume of content expands, is creating entry points for players to dive in without feeling intimidated by ever-expanding complexity.
While Disney Lorcana already has several starter decks you can pick up as an introduction, Target customers can now pick up the best all-in-one starting point: Disney Lorcana Gateway. This set contains everything you need to learn the game, with step-by-step instructions as well as a game board and other accessories designed to ramp up your knowledge of the game’s mechanics in a gradual-yet-fun way. There are two starter decks so you can immediately jump into one-on-one matches with friends, as well as four curated reward packs for expanding and customizing your deck.

Disney Lorcana Gateway includes all of the following:

Disney Lorcana Gateway is available now from Target, while other retailers will start selling the kit as soon as August 9. That should give you plenty of time to be ready for Lorcana’s upcoming Shimmering Skies set, which will be released in August. Starter decks, booster boxes, and the Illumineer’s Trove bundle can be pre-ordered from Best Buy.
